Complaints Policy

Last updated: October 2026

We want every homeowner who reaches Understandprison Plumbing to be treated fairly and honestly. If something went wrong, tell us. This page shows how to file a complaint and what to expect afterward. It is a general template and is not legal advice.

What You Can Tell Us About

You can write to us about any of these:

  • Your experience when contacting Understandprison Plumbing
  • How your personal information was handled
  • Anything on this website that seems unclear or wrong
  • The conduct of a plumber we connected you with

If the Problem Is With a Provider

Plumbers in our network are independent businesses. They are responsible for their own estimates, prices, work and customer service. If you have a problem with work done in your home, the usual first step is to raise it with the plumber directly. Keep a written record as you go.

We still want to hear about it. Feedback on providers helps keep our network honest. A provider that repeatedly falls short of our expectations may be removed from the network. Please know that Understandprison Plumbing cannot settle contract disputes, refund money for a provider's work or make decisions for a provider.

How to File a Complaint

Email contact@understandprison.living and include the following:

  • Your name and a way to reach you
  • The date you contacted us or the plumber
  • The phone number you dialed or the form you used, if you recall
  • The provider's name, if you know it
  • A clear account of what happened and what outcome you would like

After You Write

We will confirm receipt by email, usually within a few business days. We will then look into what happened, which may include contacting the provider. After that, we will reply with what we found and any steps we are taking.

If You Are Still Unhappy

If our reply does not satisfy you, answer it and ask us to take another look. You may also reach out to your state's consumer protection office or attorney general, or to your local Better Business Bureau. For concerns about plumbing work itself, a state or local plumbing licensing board may be able to help.
